Ultrasonic Flow Measurement with the Portable Kanalmaus
Using a portable, battery-powered ultrasonic Doppler sensor, the system measures the velocity profile at multiple depth points and calculates the flow rate precisely based on the measured water level. Its compact design allows for quick and easy installation—without any modifications to the existing infrastructure. The system is particularly well-suited for measuring medium to large discharge volumes in slightly to moderately contaminated wastewater.
Flexible Use
The portable “Kanalmaus” is designed for mobile operation. In the stationary version, additional sensors can be connected to customize the on-site installation. The robust design, featuring an IP68-certified housing and ATEX certification, ensures safe operation even in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Modern Data Transmission
The recorded measurement values are stored locally or transmitted to the control system via cellular networks (LTE-M / NB-IoT). This solution enables location-independent access and allows for continuous monitoring of all sites—reliably, in real time, and efficiently.
Intelligent Data Screening & STEBATEC Control System Integration
The integration with the STEBATEC control system opens up new possibilities in wastewater management. The data can be viewed in the ARAbella online control system, which can be accessed via the login area of this website.
Automated data screening enables the early detection of anomalies such as backflow, blockages, or atypical flow profiles. Flow-proportional sampling is possible.
